The Smart Rugby Toolkit Available in 4 Languages

There is already one month since the launch of our Toolkit on the project website. We’ve kept on working and now you can also download it in Romanian and Portuguese. Our objective? To bring the guide to the biggest number of rugby clubs, coaches and schools from all around Europe.  Don’t hesitate to download it and use it  with your rugby players or just learn about the values rugby can teach your children. The Smart Rugby Toolkit Has Been Delivered to 13 Galician Clubs

The Smart Rugby project, developed within the framework of the European Programme Erasmus+ Sport, co-founded by the European Commission, entered its final phase. During the U12 Galician Rugby Schools Gathering, which took place on Saturday, October 22nd in Lugo (Spain), the Smart Rugby Toolkit was presented and delivered to 13 Galician rugby clubs, reaching more than 300 children, 200 parents and 50 coaches from the region. Since the Galician Rugby Federation has confirmed the Season’s Calendar and we knew the date for our 4th and last transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project, we couldn’t stop working! Save the date: M4 Is Coming Soon

We made it! The 4th Smart Rugby Transnational Meeting is confirmed and we can finally share the date with all of you. Book the dates in your agenda, on October 22nd 2022 you have an important meeting with Smart Rugby in Lugo (Spain). The meeting will be celebrated the same day as the Concentration of Rugby Schools. It will gather the Under12 rugby players from Galicia, Spain. The event is organized by Federación Galega de Rugby together with Muralla RC, both project partners. See you all there! Closer and Closer to the Final Version of our Toolkit

We are very excited to announce that we are now in the final stages of development of our SmartRugby toolkit. A very close to final version of the Learning Units is available for download in PDF under “Resources” for you to view and test, and contribute your improvements or any ideas until the 30th of September. For the moment, they are available just in English, we are still working on the Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian versions. Sumi XV introduces SmartRugby to young rugby players in Cortegada

Even though we are partially on holidays, we keep working to bring rugby and Smart Rugby to the biggest amount of kids. Today, August 10th 2022, members of our project partner Sumi XV spent the day in Cortegada playing rugby with the kids and talking about the project with parents and coaches. Muralla RC visits Vilalba to raise awareness of the SmartRugby project

Today the SmartRugby visits to schools continue, Muralla RC will be in the CEIP Insua Bermúdez and CEIP Mato Vizoso schools to bring the project to the town of Vilalba. These visits are being developed in parallel to the implementation of the didactic units developed by SmartRugby, which are being tested in training sessions with children to receive feedback from the coaches with a view to improving them. In this case the visit will also serve to deliver the didactic units developed by the project to the local club Capóns Vilalba RC to test them in the coming weeks. SmartRugby Visibility Actions in Schools of Northern Portugal

The visits to schools continue in May. The activity consists of introducing the Smart Rugby project and bringing the sport of rugby to schools. To this end, each of the project partners has planned a series of visits to primary schools. After visiting last week the school of Lagarteiro, Porto (28th of May). Today the Associação de Rugby do Norte will be present at the primary school of Nogueira (Braga), with the next visits planned for the schools of Bajouca, Maia (8th of June) and Guimarães (18th of June).
